Amnesia startup stuttering/Lag on my Ati HD4850

hey guys,
im having problem running amnesia as it worked great on my previous card, 9500GT ,but it stutters/lags when the startup screen comes and im running it on XP and not VIsta/7 so no Aero issues here.. So please I'd be greatful for some help here..please...tried everything else..

Looks like the engine doesn't like ATI cards... :>

Certainly looks that way Big Grin

coz i tried everything else including fully lowering the Game settings.. looks like it'll take a fix or something..

Yeah, I swear 90% of people experiencing problems are using ATI.

I'm also having graphics problems, though I've decided I won't be holding out for a patch. Fortunately I've just had my birthday (I'm only 20, my relatives still give me money) so I'm cashed up, in a few weeks I'll probably get an nVidia card.

lol a game that was only supposed to cost $20 is ending up costing me $200. The irony. Smile

I'm pretty sure that Penumbra also had problems with ATI which FG eventually patched, so it's possible that ATI cards will be fixed. However, seeing as FG have already started developing their next game I'm not going to hold my breath.

You hear that Frictional... please make an ATi patch for the stuttering/lag problem .. please..

Try to set every setting to the lowest setting possible and see if it still stutters (make sure to turn off all post effects in game in options->graphics). Also make sure to turn down the resolution as far as it goes.

If this removes the problem, turn on every feature one by one and see if the stuttering returns.

If the problem is still there, update drivers as described in troubleshooting guide (A.1) and make sure there is not app running in the background (skype, firefox, anti-virus, etc)

Problem solved !.. was my own Hard Disk.. C drive was corrupted on which Xp was Installed.. new partition and now everything's okay.. running Amnesia on full 60 FPS provided all settings MAXED..
