amnesia stop responding

i am in the very beginning stage where i need hunt the chemicals, here many time my games stop responding and ten i have end the program from the task manager and then restart, i checked my graphic card it is not getting heated

my system configuration amd x2 64 4600 2.4ghz
mem 2 ghz
gpu is nvidea 8400gs with 512mb
os is windows xp sp 3
