Flashlight Doesn't Work

I'm very much enjoying the game, but I'm currently experiencing a bug!

When I enter Upsilon station and walk down the initial hallway I get an info message telling me to press "F" to turn on my flashlight. However, when I press F, nothing happens. I've tried remapping the flashlight hotkey with no luck. I've also updated my  graphics drivers and done verified the installation via steam. Attached is my hpl.log file.

What can I do to fix this problem?
