How the hell could I be scared by a four-inch screen? Co-Op would fuck up everything! Xbox isn't outwardly ridiculous, but it would only be campaign, soooo yeah.
People who'd get scared by Amnesia on a phone would bring a generation of people in this community worse than the custom story authors there are now. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
H3Y MY CUSTEM STORY "THE HALLWAYS OF HORROR" IS FUCKING AMZING! PEWDIE LIKED IT!
That's them. That's my impression of them.

That's what they are now. Plus you misspelled "the hanted hallweysof hell". The new generation would be utterly horrible, talking in text-speak nonstop and telling all their juvenile buddies they're tough because they played it on a phone and didn't get scared by it.

But I would not be surprised if we in the future will see Frictional console releases since they on their website were looking for people with experience with coding and working with consoles (If I remember correctly)
They are actually working on it just a little bit...

Current projects:

The Dark Prison 85 % (Stopped working on this one)

Unnamed Project 7 %

Nothing wrong with them doing console ports, how many time must i say it.

By the time they are done porting, we will have xbox720 and ps4. wich will have open Gl support, Anti Aliasing Abilities, and PC quality graphics and sound.

Provided they keep the gameplay the same, and dont turn it into some godawfull modern shooter set in the Amnesia Universe, then there is no problem with frictional launching the franchise on the console, so long as they do a croteam and remember "the console port is the one on the console" and always design the game for PC first

it is a good thing to console port, as it will open Frictional Up to a new Audience, wich in turn will allow them to make More Money, wich means they will be able to make better games, and Stay independant. it is a good thing.

please come of your "only newbie kiddos play consoles" high horses and just accept that to stay in business, Frictional Needs to do console ports, or they will run out of money, get snaffled up by some big name American megapublisher like EA or Activision, and will end up being forced to make casual "mainstream" zombie shooters, or they will loose there jobs. just like happened to PCF, 4A, GSC, and all the other little indies who refused to do console ports, and got wiped out by PC piracy for there loyalty to the PC system.

yes piracy is VERY high on pc, consoles might be a good idea but NOT this gen, console gamers are more likely to buy games and spend 60 bucks.

As long as Frictiona Games relases multi-platform there will still be piracy. People seem to be forgetting that piracy is easy to do on the Xbox 360 too.

PC piracy is very easy and often the games are released the same day (or after) the official release date.

They don't need to do a thing - FG is not dying at all. Like I said before I would hate to see the game get downgraded and again...

No, the game can't run on it.

Also the PS3 uses Open GL 1.0 (a stripped version of it) while Amnesia needs Open GL 2.0 [source]

Granted it will take a while for people to figure out how to pirate on the next gen. consoles but they always find a way.
