Help!

I've been searching through these threads because I'm stuck but everyone seems to say that they are stuck in the first room, what first room? when the demo starts I am on a ship and then after leaving there I am out in the snow, I then go down a hatch and then I am in a cellar, I then go in a room on the left and move a metal cupboard and then I go down a tunnel but it only leads to a room where there's nothing to do in, what do I have to do next?

This is the tech demo forum, this should go in the penumbra over-ture demo area.

But anyways
*MAJOR SPOILER*
Look around for a metal bar in the first room, it will go into your inventory.
Use this metal bar to operate the machine box(after the tunnels)
Turn the machine box to open a door on the ground, which will allow you to go to the next level.
