[split] misc game not running, crash on startup

Im having trouble with a part of my graphics (note that im using the demo). i turn on the game it runs smoothly, except everything looks very off. theres no real textures. everything is black. but rugs and rocks are bright white (i assume there rocks i can't tell). so i exit and look into my documents and check the hpl i see an error that says: ERROR: Failed to compile GLSL shader 'C:/Program Files/Amnesia - The Dark Descent/redist/core/shaders/deferred_gbuffer_skybox_frag.glsl'!
Shader code: i either see that or ATTENTION: System does not support const arrays in glsl! please help. i using windows vista if that matters

I'm running the game on Win7 32 bit; 2Ghz AMD 64 processor w/4GB RAM. I have lowered all desktop resolutions and turned off or set all settings in game to Low; Turned off all but essential background programs including McAfee AV. I have a 256MB Nvidia GEForce 7300 LE Graphics card. I've tried running the game fullscreen and in windows of varying resolutions and the game will randomly just freeze up. I downloaded the game through Steam, so I'm not sure if a patch is applied or available. I've tried just about everything to get this game to run w/o freezing up. Any suggestions?

Hi. i recently bought the game off steam but it gets black screen when i try to start up the game. i have un-installed and then re-installed but still the same. i play on a laptop (Dell inspiron 1525, 32bit) any ideas how i can get my Amnesia to work ? =)

The Dell inspiron 1525 has an Integrated graphics chip from Intel, which is not capable of running the game I'm afraid.

I downloaded the game through Steam on Saturday, Dec. 4, and I could not get it to work. When it opened, it said that 'Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module Amnesia.exe at 001B:00000000'. I have asked Steam Support for advice, and they directed me here; I have followed the main points and updated my drivers, tried to remove the main_settings.cfg file (which returns after rebooting), and now the game closes instantaneously. If we can't resolve the issues soon, I would rather have a refund.

I have the same problem, but on a different computer. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150, specific to HP entertainment PCs, I think the dv6000 series. Can't figure it out either.

i have tried just about everything and still cannot get the game to work
everytime i try to open it, it comes up with some message
i did buy the game and have downloaded the patch, i do not know what to do about this

also every driver i try to download says it cant continue the download because it cant find compatible graphics or it cant find some file or something
