Game will not boot! (Amnesia on Steam)

How about that you forget launching through Steam and go straight into the Amnesia's folder and run from the .exe file itself?

Try updating the graphics card drivers to the latest.
If that doesn't work, then you should probably contact Steam support as well.

Ive got norton on here, but not in use. but i do use malaware antivirus

try disabling every antivirus you have and running it. Does the demo run fine?

I'm having a similar problem. I got Amnesia off of Steam yesterday, and when I go to play it, the game won't load. It says that a crash has occured, and also this:
"Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in the module <UNKNOWN> at 001B:00000000"
I've downloaded updates, rebooted, turned off my Anti-Virus software, tried launching it from the folder/shortcut/Steam but nothing I do makes a change.
Any help? I really don't want this to have been a waste of money Sad

Download and install the newest drivers for your graphics card.
