I'm not trying to advertise here, I found this through 4chans board /v/, and thought it might be something Frictional Games and of course the many fans of Frictional Games would be interested in.

But it's a good bet. Do you know how hard it is to develop a game? Especially a game like this? I don't think one person could do it in a timely manner.

Yeah thats true. I was just saying that because sometimes people pull of crazy ass shit like this, so it still is possible, just unlikely.

The same could be said of Cortex Command or Dwarf Fortress or Minecraft. Minecraft has the best chance because he hired a whole team. CC and DF are never going to be done, though.
Making a game like Minecraft on your own isn't that impossible at all. Procedurally generated tiles,..
But what he describes is a whole story and it's different every time. Just imagine having to model objects, characters, props for dozens of different settings. Not to mention coding, mapping, animating AND story design.
