Problem with the chemistry pot (spoiler-y)

Well, somehow (don't ask me how - I was pretty confused myself) I managed to get into the refinery without having to use the pot of acid, and now it's come to making the explosive mixture with the primary and secondary thingies, but I have no chemistry pot in which to mix them .
So here's my question; is there something I can do to give myself a chemistry pot or something of that sort, or do I have to go through the whole game again?
