What I want in a "Amnesia/Penumbra" film

All my friends say they want an awesome film made of these games.
I think it would be awesome as well, but I know it would be screwed up, unless the game developers made it themselves.Which doesn't happen often.
I would want great actors for Phillip/Daniel.
I wouldn't want someone like Brad Pitt, because then it would be "Brad Pitt wakes up in a castle and has amnesia."
I want a new actor who has never been seen before, but could pull it off.

I saw a film the other day, it was called "Frozen" and actually most people hated it and found it funny, but I found it actually was pretty terrifying.
It's the fact that they don't show some of the stuff that happens to the characters and you hear there (actually real sounding) screams.
Like in this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4nqRHEbs...re=related (which if you read the comments a lot of people are bashing it)

Now I know Amnesia doesn't take place 50 ft in the air, it takes place in a castle, so the atmosphere would have to be really well done, and maybe even an abandon hospital for some scenes in a Penumbra film.

In a Penumbra film, I think there should be a scene like the one in "I am Legend" where "Phillip" would be walking in a black hall way, and turns the corner to find infected huddling in a circle. That would be intense, given it was a good horror film.

And for a director, well, I don't really know who :S
But what would you want "if" they were going to make a film of either game?

Pointless. I'd rather horror directors came up with some original ideas, of which there is a horrifying dearth.

It's not game's or someone's guilt. It's only Uwe Ball's guilt. If you want to take example, go and take Silent Hill movie.

the games wouldn't translate well into movies, it would get boring just watching someone constantly peer around corners cautiously, you would have to expand the plot and universe.

Why not make a short fan-made movie of Amnesia ourselfs ?

Shouldn"T be to hard imo ...

just look at this short fan-made Silent Hill 2 movie for example :

Wouldnt work so well with Amnesia. Too much silence, except from the flashbacks. Also if Daniel started to himself, it would just be weird.
Some games should stay as games, but comics arent bad or books.

It would need only one actor to play the protagonist. Something without music and shot live action footage. I think it worked fairly well for Cloverfield and Quarantine.
