Minecraft: The Dark Descent

Hey Bule I have also decided to try and create my own castle adventure in Minecraft having enjoyed both Amnesia and your map. I am taking ideas from both and wondered if you had any tips especially how you did some of those "encounters" for lack of a better word: Things like doors across the hall opening and lights going out.

That's cool! The doors randomly opening were pretty basic stuff; just a pressure plate connected to a memory cell connected to a bunch of delayers connected to a door.

The lights going out is a bit more complicated.

There is a pressure plate connected to a reed/sugarcane floodgate that, when updated by redstone, lets water flow right on top of lava, which is on top of a roof made stairs.
(Stairs let light pass itself.) So, when the water changes the lava into cobblestone, lights go out.

I couldn't find any tutorials for floodgates, so hopefully this picture will suffice. (Unless you already know how to build floodgates.)

(Basically, when the redstone updates the reed it breaks, letting the water flow.)

I am new at forum so Hello all !

For several weeks I was thinking about taking a movie Minecraft Amnesia.
There, in move would be include events before Daniel drank the potion and events after drank the potion.

There are my 2 trailers Minecraft Amnesia. They are weak at the moment, but I understand and now I know how to create the movie.

I will record with Doku's RPG texture pack. If you have other suggestions about texture packs I will check them. Here some screenshots of the castle ( I will do bigger size castle )

I've got friends who help me during the movie and the actors (Zombie and Alexander)

bule, i gotta say this is one of the best castles ive seen.. ever. have you ever concidered making this map into a multiplayer server? you could use an NPC mod for the monsters and set their speed and so on. it would be a great idea most computers, like mine, are unable to play amnesia, so it would be cool if you could make it into a multiplayer server, with puzzles and such i could even help ya out if u want to. atleast concider the idea
