Exception_Access_Violation at startup

Solved: 8 Years, 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Exception_Access_Violation at startup

I JUST bought amnesia, and when I typed the serial code in it crashed and said:

Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module.
Amnesia.exe at 001B:00000000

I tried uninstalling (and removing all components) twice and re-installing with the serial code given to me upon purchase.

Now everytime I try to log on it doesn't even give me the option to type a serial code in, instead it instantly crashes with the same error.

What do I do? Sad

Your graphic card is Intel and it's below system requirements.
Though, latest intel graphic driver update lets people to play Amnesia in low settings. So you should update your graphic card.

Hey guys I pretty much have this problem, except it happens in-game, and my video card is a ATI Radeon X600. (Below the requirements, I know. Damn Steam giving incorrect requirements) I've had very few problems with this, but since the 1.02 update or whatever, I'm crashing frequently. I crashed last nite while opening it, my screen went all wacky on start-up of Amnesia, and I was forced to shut down my PC. I tried again this morning, did the same thing, forced to shut down my PC. I tried again after restarting, it worked, but I went into the game, played 5 minutes, paused it, went to the options, and as soon as I clicked it it crashed saying
"Amnesia Crashed" or something, and the tab was Anylizing the crash, then that stopped responding, and then it just told me Amnesia.exe was not responding, and forced it to shut down. Help?

Okay... But what about the screen messing up on start up of Amnesia? Would that be a CPU/Video Card Problem?

Yup, but I verified the game files and it said it had 497 files missing and were reaquired. This may of fixed it, I haven't tried yet. So I don't know yet. I will try as soon as I can.
