That is not hidden. It is known that there are 4 endings to the game. The 3 at the end and 1 at the cell near the end. Alexander tells you to stay there and the shadow will kill you saving the rest of the castle and himself. It is true though that it is not that widely known as an ending.

I think it was either
- die in the cell
- throw Agrippas head into the portal
- destroy the portal by knocking down the pillars
- or just wait until Alexander uses the portal.

To me, thats hidden. It is hidden because not most players would wait 15 minutes to be killed by the Shadow, and not expecting the game to end there.

Alexander tells you that if you stay there you'll die by the shadow and everything will be over afterwards.

I think I was dangerous close to be killed by the shadow in the cell. Because there were some serious red meat pilling up in the cell when I finally was able to get out.
