Import maps!

Good morning guys!

I got 3ds-Max for modelling Maps and new items, static-objects and so on. My question is, in which format have I to export the files, that I can open and place it in the Leveleditor? Have I to place the textures just in the original-game-folder?
How can I edit properties of new items?

Wink

RE: Import maps!

Why would you model maps with 3ds max? Model maps with the level editor.

RE: Import maps!

He means items for the level editor. They have to be exported with OpenCollada (.dae), you'll have to get the 3ds plugin for that. Textures go in the same directory that you put the dae file. Open up the dae in model viewer to make a .mat file and .msh file, and then import the .dae in the model editor, which makes a .ent file. The .ent file is what determines the properties of the item. These are changed in the model editor.
