Poll: What did you do about the left door of the chancel?

You know the chancel? the normal chancel? There is a room at the left and a room at the right. However I NEVER encountered the right room till' today. I was like.... WTF?! when I saw it! Did this room ever exist?
There's a grunt patrolling at that side of the bridge, that's why I never went in here. So guys did you know about it? Did you go in here?

I entered it to try and figure out where to go before I realized that I had missed an orb piece in the choir.

No there's not. The room the OP speaks of has some shelving, a desk, some archaic suit of armor, and further on is a Mithraic Altar. There are no storyline progression items in these rooms. The Bucket of Tar you may be thinking of is in the room on the other side of the Chancel, with the barrier machinery.

Oooh yes sorry forgive me ^_^. Yeah nothing there except a note. FYI if you see it you better go there before you have all orb shards because the next time you enter the chancel it won't be available (trying to avoid talking about spoilers...)

I found it on my first playthrough. I prefer exploring everywhere before I solve any puzzles so naturally I found it. Not sure how anyone can miss it, assuming they enter the area before finding all the 6 orbs.
