Beyond the Mountains of Madness will take you onto a journey around 1922 as Jack Walters, a private investigator, who has been able to crack cases without direct clues or evidence.

He noticed weird alien creature-drawing , something like a cosmic-horror. As Jack continued his investigation, he saw a room filled with dead people, by the looks of it it was suicide or rather, mass-suicide, but these people has strange tattoos, incarved with a knife of some sort.
He than found later that this cult has been expecting him ever since,
When he went into an secret-passage in the library-room, the cave collapsed and Jack Walters was trapped. He proceeded further to find that these pscyho's have been killing their members and innocent people for "The Shadow out of Time"....

I am assuming you are thinking this is gonna be like Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth?
H.P. Lovecraft's stories never directly confronted 'humans' and I will not revamp that. This custom story is based on H.P. Lovecraft's stories on how it was written, adding a main protagonist.
It sounds pretty cool. I'll keep an eye on this one.
Just as a quick question, though, was there really a place called Arkham Asylum in the Lovecraft world? I've read some of his work, and know that he created Arkham, but it sounds a bit like some OTHER type of asylum, from a comic book.

D.C. Universe created the term 'Arkham Asylum', although H.P. Lovecraft created the fictional city of Arkham, Massachusetts, and although there was an asylum in Arkham, he never used "Arkham Asylum" directly in his stories, more like Arkham or The Asylum.
I have however changed the name of the first episode already before you posted this.. Its called "The Elder Sign: The Arkham" (just because people tried to tend that Arkham Asylum a rip-off was from the Batman-game, although it isnt really.)
Correction, H.P. Lovecraft never wrote his stories for 'a book.'
Most of his works were short stories. Most of the publishers just compiled all his major stories into a book and called it "Call of Cthulhu"
