My hps file doesn't work

Hello guys, I just started using the editor 2 days ago and i've tried making a script that opens a door with a key. I have seen tutorials and i have been reading the wiki but it still wont work so I hope you guys can help me. I'm 16 BTW so don't blame me Wink

My hps file is placed in my maps folder just so you know.

This is what the hps file looks like at the moment:

////////////////////////////
// Run first time starting map
void OnStart()

{
AddUseItemCallback("", "bedroomkey_1", "mansion_1", "KeyOnDoor", true);
}

void KeyOnDoor(string &in asItem, string &in asEntity)
{
SetSwingDoorLocked("mansion_1", false, true);
PlaySoundAtEntity("", "unlock_door", "mansion_1", 0, false);
RemoveItem("bedroomkey_1");
}

////////////////////////////
// Run when entering map
void OnEnter()
{

}

////////////////////////////
// Run when leaving map
void OnLeave()
{

}

Hope you can help me Smile

Script name and map name are same, aren't they?
Like script.hps, script.map

Yes they have the same name, but when i save my map in the maps folder it only show the hps file and not the map file when I open the maps folder from my desktop and I can't find the map file anywhere, I can still play the map tho, can that be the problem?

RE: My hps file doesn't work

Ive been having the same situation it seems certain files specific to the game are hidden. Ive noticed that on windows 7 i cannot find these files and they are only openable through the various editors. I did some quick math and found that the folder properties contain 2 values the actual value which is equivilant to the visible items and the hard drive value which is usally 2-5 kb more that is the difference of the ninja folders. So in summery OMG NINJA FILES WHERE DEY GO? anyone know what to do? I have all files view enabled even system files and am running windows 7 how about u Baker?
