[SOLVED] Level Editor Objects

[SOLVED]

For some reason I cannot see any of my objects in the level editor before I place them. All I get is the white outline of the object but youtube videos of other people that use the editor show that they can see the objects before they place them and it makes sense that we should be able to see them before prior to placement for proper orientation. Am I doing something wrong? Other than that, I am having no other issues using the level editor.

Here are two pictures of how it looks:

I guess I could suggest that you try to delete the Temp folder in Application Support/Frictional Games/HPL2. It might help, but I'm unsure.

I overlooked an important piece of info in your tutorial where you say that you have to hold down the left mouse button to see the object. Is there anyway of setting it up so that I can view the object without holding down the left mouse button? This is more of a preference than a necessity.

RE: Level Editor Objects

The white outline is normal...? I mean, yeah, you hold down the left mouse button and drag to make the object visible and view which way it will face, followed by a release to place the object.

As far as I know, the white outline is normal, bordering the full extent of the object size.

But I don't think you can view it before you place it. As far as I know, it is something built in, which cannot be modified.

Yeah, you hold down the button to see it. Use Q and W to rotate it at this point before placing it by releasing the button.
I might've been so used to doing this that I take it for granted xO

Thank you both! I'm new to this forum and I am trying to mark this thread as 'solved'. Earlier there was an option to do so at the bottom but I don't see it anymore.
