This really needs fixed and for someone to take the time to reproduce it. I had my copy working after setting everything to Low and Off where applicable. It was running great and smooth. No SSAO or Effects enabled. 1024x768 not fullscreened. I did update my drivers to the latest for Nvidia 8800GE GT for Windows 7 in order to eliminate all the buggy slowdown I was getting, still occurs if settings are set higher for some reason. I have been able to launch the client multiple times with no issue, and today it decides I'm never getting back into the game due to this error. Tried re-installing Drivers, Steam, and Amnesia. Nothing works. Having changed no settings the game suddenly decides to give me this error, and it is definitely not a memory issue with the Graphics card, no way in hell. I can play the Crysis 2 Demo max spec on this thing. This needs fixed now.

I agree, this is very frustrating. I keep hearing how great this game is and I so desperately want to play it, but nothing I've tried works. Either it will not let me load the game (throwing the renderer error) or it does let me play for a few minutes after which everything but the lights disappear and the game slows to a crawl.

Is anybody still there? I, as you might guess, am having the same problem as stated above. My drivers are 100% up-to-date, I've rebooted several times, I am using only one monitor, I have toyed with the graphics and resolution settings ad nauseum, Windows Update has been turned off and back on. I have no idea what to do now. I have attempted every fix I have seen on this forum, and the game still won't even start. Thomas, somebody, if you're there I'd appreciate some kind of help. I know there might not be anything you can do...

Your graphics card is below the requierments needed to run the game, so unfortunately it is not possible to play the game on your computer.

I'm getting the same issues and I really hope it's not due to hardware issue. I also updated my driver and followed all the instructions.
I'd appreciate the help!

It's the same, your graphic chip does not meet the requierments.

Jens is right. With this graphics card you can only barely play the game under Linux not Windows due to bad Intel drivers for this chip.

Ok, I SIGNED UP JUST TO SAY THIS since it seems that nobody had come up with this idea. Why don't you guys at Frictional Games add settings for lower end graphics cards?? Really, it shouldn't be that hard to come up with such a simple solution. If you guys can't do that, then refund everyone who bought your guy's game.
