Solved: 8 Years, 8 Months, 1 Week ago Question  Clarification, Graphics Card

I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but I've looked through the tutorials and guides on the fourm and there are two views it seems. One being that Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family CANNOT run Amnesia at all. Another being that it can be updated. I have Windows 7, 64 bit. My driver version is 8.15.10.1808.

I downloaded the demo, and obviously it cannot be run. But I would love to purchase the game. What are my options if any? If I can update the driver, can someone provide me with easy steps to? I have not been successful with other steps to updates.

Thank you so much!

Also, I am on a Dell laptop, not a desktop. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but I figured I'd add that little bit of info anyway.

This driver was released recently and it might fix the driver issues:

If you can install it due to Dell locking Intel drivers out, then you can use this download:

With the second option follow the guide here:

It might work, but a Intel 4 Series is below the specified requierments so if does not it would not be surprising.

The new driver that Jens mentioned does not say anything about OpenGL at its release notes so most probably nothing will change. You are free to try though using the have disk method only on Dell laptops.

You can play Amnesia with this card only under Linux, not Windows due to bad Intel drivers.
