RE: Amnesia no worky
Is there a program that conflicts with Amnesia? You should be able to see Amnesia's own cursor upon launching.

RE: Amnesia no worky
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Pretty sure theres no conflicts as Ive tried running it with everything closed -including the anti virus real time scanner. I usually get the amnesia cursor appear when it goes to profiles (i created one once using the keyboard i think), then if you touch the mouse it jumps to the top left and returns there whatever you do.

That's weird. Have you tried to delete your Amnesia folder under Documents?
This way, all of your saves will be gone, keep that in mind.

RE: Amnesia no worky
Just tried it but no joy, previously id tried deleting the just the config file. Ive never been able to run the game so i have no saves.
Actually its just like this
http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thr...70551.html
But i get it all the time..
Just skimming that thread again i remember when i was trying to get it to work over halloween that it would work in windowed mode. Like the guy in that thread i could try with Shiftwindow, but it would be good if that wasnt necessary, any ideas?

RE: Amnesia no worky
It's probably some background program causes conflicting. Maybe UAC, I really don't have an idea.

RE: Amnesia no worky
Yeh, I tried that, thanks. Previous to doing that it was much worse! When id activate task manager and return to the desktop the mouse would remain in the top left and id have to use the keyboard shortcuts to shut down Amnesia. It seems like a semi-known problem, but ive got it much worse for some reason. (11-25-2011, 10:05 PM)plutomaniac Wrote: have you tried the SDL.dll trick as mentioned in the troubleshooting guide? RE: Amnesia no worky
Sorry, that wasn`t very clear. What used to happen before i replaced that .dll was that, as described, the cursor would go to the corner, but when returning to the windows desktop the cursor would remain in the corner. I have to use task manager to shut Amnesia down, and would have to use the keyboard to do this.
After having applied the SDL.dll fix, when i return to the desktop I now have control over the mouse cursor, but in the game it stays top left. So its probably related but ive no idea how or why...
