Lagging mouse movements

Hello there,

I got Amnesia on my old Desktop, which doesn't work at all, so I got it again on my girlfriends new computer.
When I loaded it up all the menus were going VERY slow, I couldn’t even get past the Profile screen.

I read the guide and played about with the settings, turning SSAO off seemed to work fine, even with everything else set to Low, and also Medium.

So now...
When I try to play the game the mouse movements are very laggy, I have checked the movement speed on the ingame options, and smooth is selected too. How can I make the mouse movements work properly and what is the best settings I can use for clear gameplay?
I play it on 1600x900,

I just really want to get playing this game now

It is the graphics card as it can barely support and run the game. You can try installing the latest Nvidia drivers and also turning all the graphics settings to the lowest possible.

1. What operating system do you have? Also 32-bit or 64-bit?
2. Is it a laptop or a desktop? If a laptop, what model?

Its Windows 7, 64-bit.

Thanks for the link but it didn't work. Now I have no curser.

All the settings were on low, and all the blurs and sepias I turned off. Nothing seems to work. That computer is 10 month old. Sure it wasn't made for games, but with all those low settings it looks like Doom, but just runs very slow.

I have 2 useless copies of this game now.

Your graphics card is from 2004-2005. It is very,very old. Amnesia was released at 2010 requiring OpenGL 2.1 when at that time 4.1 was available. Moreover, this card is embedded and so low profile.

Why buy two copies of the game?

It's about time for you to buy a new graphics card, because you can barely run games with this one :/

I got 2 copies of the game because I got it firstly on my pc after simply checking canyourunit and passing with flying colours. It didn't work on mine and as you can't gift games on steam once they've been played I decided to get it on her pc because it was much much newer seen as it was from this year.

Obviously i'm fustrated and dissapointed by this news.

canyourunit is not qualified to ensure someone that he can play Amnesia.

you can always buy a new graphics card. Even the cheapest recent ones can play Amnesia.
