So you have a reliable source but can't tell anybody what it is. Only reason for that would be some sort of non disclosure agreement, either between you and the devs or between someone else who told you and them. The thing is, of course, if you were forbidden to tell your source, because it is an internal one, you would also be forbidden to tell the release date in the first place.
So, following that logic, are you betraying Frictional's/thechineseroom's trust or are you just coming up with nonsense to entertain the impatient fanbase? Hm... I wonder which one it is...
