PS4 Revealed

Guys, I think the better question is, "When is Valve releasing their console?" Why not have one of the best commercial gaming companies run the console business as well? I think Gaben would stick to the true gamer values that companies like EA have no understanding of...

I have never EVER owned any sort of gaming system other than PC besides the Gameboy Advance I had so many years ago. I'm currently thinking if it would be a good idea for me to get a console, regardless of whether it's a Xbox 720, or PS4, and join the gaming that takes place there.

Possibly, I have no interest in the PS4 or the steambox right now. I also have no small amount of mistrust of any monopoly owners, though what Gaben says is admirable we have yet to see some of his loftier goals come into fruition so doubts should be reserved.

Eh, I have no interest whatsoever in the PS4 or steambox or whatever either. I have a PS3 because it was a present I got and I'm glad I have it because of some games like Journey and Shadow of the Colossus (the re-release), but whenever possible I prefer the PC versions of games... I might buy a used PS2 soon though, to play some classics and I'll always love my trusty ol' Gamecube. Smile

As for upcoming consoles, the only one I'm remotely interested in is the Ouya. I just think it's an interesting idea - whether it will work (or ever even see the light of day...) or not is of course an entirely different question Big Grin

Just read about Ouya. The thumbnail showed it's very small.

You're not missing out on much if I am being honest. If you have friends IRL that console game a lot and you want to join in then yes, if not then nothing is missing. Also, I give the 360 the point for gaming with friends... PS3 was lacking party communication big time. Now it seems PS4 will have more communication then ever before.
