Perhaps when you get older, when you play less video games, you do not immerse yourself correctly.
Also, I'd say, when you are older, you are less likely to scream. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't scream or jump out of my chair while playing it, though that didn't prevent my heart from fibrillating or my eyes from opening wide as I played TDD.
Same here, man. I just shouted a little "Ah!" once after a grunt surprised me, but I did not jump or scream...
You're really 11? I think you shouldn't play games like Amnesia. The torture things were pretty brutal, and when you're this young you get influenced pretty easy. These torture scenes will become normal for you if you keep playing things like this and you won't realise it's not acceptable to do things like that IRL. ( Just my opinion )
Actually, it's okay. Since the torture method is pretty old, i assume that is does not exist now. So, it's okay.

Oh alright then

I remember when I was young I would be scared, though not that scared of a lot of games I played.
I remember playing a lot of quake, but my dad said that we were not allowed to play singleplayer, or as we called it "the monster levels". I remember playing the different multiplayer levels in quake 2 alone and being afraid of these mysterious monsters being in the levels. later we got quake 4 and for about a year I only played the multiplayer, but then finally I was allowed to play "the monster levels".

until now I had never truly been freaked out by a game, only a little "monster under the bed" like fear.
The monster levels were awesome but then I made it to level 13

A little after the part were the legs were cut off I quit and went shaking in the couch.

Today Im 15 have finished quake 4 many times and can look back and laugh at this reaction.

EDIT: forgot to mention I was 9 by the time I had that reaction.

JustAnotherPlayer immersed himself so much into Amnesia that his font started becoming fancy Amnesia-ish. In only a few moments, his posts will be read aloud by Daniel once you scroll down to it.

Also, nice font.

People are still being tortured with old methods. For example, strappado and sawing are common methods in Middle East.
