If you pay ~5$ you will get BF3 along with 7 other games.

Too bad I own most of those already, or it might be worth it.

Oohlala...that's one awesome bundle right there.

Sadly I don't have a credit card, or any way of getting money onto PayPal so I have to always sit out on these type of bundles Sad

Infinite's combat isn't very good.

What makes you think that? (Just interested in someonelse his opinion Wink)

Me too. Did you see the multiplayer trailer (I thought E3 gameplay)? Looks very amazing!

Another game that could be good is Titanfall. It isn't released yet but the things I've read about it looked positive and very promising.

Maybe you should try The Division aswell. It is a third person shooter however and it isn't released yet, but it looks very good.
It's about an apocalyptic New York (I thought) which is now territory of dangerous bandits doing everything to survive. The thing that makes this game so interesting, is that it's an open world RPG thirdperson shooter and it's online! You can team up with others and search for ammo or other items, explore the map, complete missions, earn skillpoints and fight against other groups. You really should watch the gameplay trailer if you have the time. Smile

Vigors are boring of you compare them to Bioshock 1 plasmids imo
AI is fucking retarded, I mean, running at you with batons in their hands, while you have a pistol? Or running or standing mindlessly in open space while you are firing at them?
Very repetitive combat, killing normal policemen/soldiers stopped being fun after 2 hours. There should have been more special enemies.

I have to admit that there were a few vigors I didn't use because I didn't find them that useful. About the running baton guys, I thought that there were also a few in the previous bioshocks. They are maybe not very smart, but they deal lots of damage (especially at high difficulties) and they made it pretty difficult for me to stay behind cover. I found the combat actually pretty original in a few ways. Opening the tears or riding the skylines or at the end (no spoilers), I've never seen those things in a game before. And what about all the gear you can combine or the weapon upgrades and the tense music that's playing during a fight? Maybe the AI isn't that smart but playing the game on hard is challenging enough for me (and I'm hardcore in games ;p).
My only complaint about the combat is that I didn't encounter that many handymans (the infinite version of a big daddy).

Thanks for sharing your opinion btw Smile

I disagree. B1 had maybe 4-5 unique enemies with a few variations and they made it work with what they had. But yeah, the BInfinite was waay too repetitive.

Damnit though, I want to see a proper game that makes a comment on Religious zealotry that isn't afraid of stepping on people's toes. I think they could have done the Elizabeth == "messiah" thing a whole lot better, and just focus on that.

Going for achievements makes combat a lot more interesting, as do tears if you use them a lot. But it's definitely not at the level of other fps games, but it has a good reason. Ken Levine, the main dev behind Bioshock, talks about how if he had the chance he would have made the Bioshock series completely combat-free; a narrative/story experience since his passion is telling a compelling story. But, as he points out, shooters sell, narrative games don't (atleast in the realm of AAAs), so he was forced to Bioshock a shooter.

Yeah, the AI is actually kinda retarded. I got a Volley Gun and they're just running into me with a fucking baton!

But the Vigors. Oh man. My favorite is the CHARGE thing. Oh man. That shit was holy shit man. But since I don't play the two Bioshock, I have no idea what Plasmids do. Maybe they're better than Vigors.
