amd x4 965, 8gb ddr3, geforce 560ti

I am getting the same thing. I have turned everything down on low. I get 60 frames but even with the blur affects off the stuttering still occurs. Weather or not this will be patched is beyond me but I hope that a fix will be found either the community or the devs themselves.

AMD II X2 240 2.80 processor, nvidia geforce gt 620, 4 gigs of ram. I have the resolution down so it gives me a stable frame rate and almost everything on low. I really do get 60 frames but the hitches become annoying and the immersion disappears when you see a blatant hitch every time you step in a room. I don't know what to do but lower graphics quality. It's not unreal engine 3 were I can just jack around with the ini files. It may be poor optimization but at this point after turning down almost everything graphically, the hitches don't seem as bad

I don't think it's a computer problem, I might be wrong but I think it's in places where the sounds/particles used in the scare event haven't been pre-loaded in the map script. I've had it happen in a couple places too (this was the same in TDD custom stories where people didn't preload sounds or particles). Maybe it's just because the maps have got so large and have so much going on in them, I'm sure the devs will know Big Grin

if you open main_settings.cfg in notepad, file is found in My Documents/Amnesia/Pig you can try and set MaxChannels="64" to 32 instead, StreamBuffers="8" to 4 instead and see if that helps. If not, then try and set StreamBufferSize="262144" to something like 131072 instead and see if that makes a difference.

I tried this myself, and though it did help alleviate a little lag. It still freezes every so often (frequently). The game is still playable, but it's very annoying to have these intermittent freezes. Hopefully we can find a fix for this soon.

Yeah, hard to say. The same or a little better, but very often, annoying freezes still occur.

Same here, game stutters in every new location(room) or when any new event is going to happen.

It was said that it can be caused by weak system but I can play League of legends (high), Fifa 13 (high), ATDD (high), SC2(medium), SRIV(medium), so I don't think that my PC can't handle AAMFP:/
