I'm pretty sure that Serious Sam TSE had a zero gravity section too, and it had to be removed for the HD version because it didn't work with the ragdolls. Crysis' zero gravity section was pretty cool, just seeing everything floating around in the air. Someone mentioned SS2, I think the first System Shock has a zero gravity part but I'm not very far into it right now so I couldn't tell you myself.

Would be pretty cool to see another one. They're not as common as they should be.

Also. does anyone know if HPL3 engine will ever be released for user generated content? I'd LOVE to make my own little games from this engine.

Personally I think we'll be playing as someone not revealed in any of the teaser material - that includes the gameplay trailer, because the blog post states quite clearly that the guy in that is NOT the main character. We also don't know if Reed won't be dead by the time the game begins. I'd like to have a woman protagonist, but likely not someone we've already seen.

It'd be nice if she were to fulfill a similar role to Swanson from Penumbra - perhaps this time we will actually get to see her alive. :p

P.S. Could it be that the 'Golick' trapped inside the machine from the Mockingbird video is also the guy whose viewpoint we see in the gameplay trailer?

It would actually be cool for the protagonist to be female this time around. Thomas mentioned that the character seen at the trailer is minor which implies that SOMA will feature multiple characters. At least that's how I see it. If it's true, very cool. Smile

If there's a female protagonist, and a male protagonist, maybe it'll be less relevant being WHO you play as, but more of HOW MANY you play as. It could actually make sense, with the things that we've seen in the Gameplay Trailer.

But personally, I don't care what gender we'll play as, as long as he/she is relevant to the story. I've never heard anyone being mad over Justine having a female main character, even if it was a short DLC. So, I don't see why people would be upset. Either way, I'm sure the game will be great.
