The green part looks like a hand scanner.

EDIT: Also looks holographic, kinda has a Mass Effect look to it. I bet there's something behind that door Wink

Also, in the schedule for SOMA, there is a section that says

"-lip synch fixing"

Might be overlooking it, but... lip sync = NPC's that talk to you? :o

Well, lip-syncing means there will be a mouth that talks at some point (: My money is on proper, talking NPCs.
