I'm pretty sure even Frictional doesn't know what they're doing 5-8 years from now.

It depends of the end of SOMA, whether a sequel fits into the franchise or not.

I loved Amnesia a lot! Like one of the most horrifying games I've ever played! But SOMA is a new slate. It has a very different setting and theme! The Sci-fy and futuristic setting could change the atmosphere greatly weather its in good or bad ways! I'm very excited because if they have custom story support then just picture the horror that could be created with this new engine!

Upsilon

1 - the twentieth letter of the Greek alphabet ( Υ, υ ), transliterated in the traditional Latin style as ‘y’ (as in cycle ) or in the modern style as ‘u’ (as in the etymologies of this dictionary).

It seems as if Frictional Games is going with a futuristic typed horror, with an everlasting ancient theme.

Any thoughts on the new Art style? Or how about the new engine features??
Custom Stories???

IS TEH SOMA THREAD DEAD, OR WHAT?

Alright, in all seriousness, The game is kind of reminding me of Portal, if it was done by H.P. Lovecraft and Satan. And it looks like the game is going to be unforgivably dark (lighting, and theme wise). I mean, If Amnesia was "The Dark Descent", this game should probably be called "Darkness: The Darkening Dark". I'm honestly praying that the game gives you a flashlight, or some light source.

I think If Frictional Games is gonna make better games quicker, or at the same pace, They might have to get more people. I mean it's just an opinion, but 3 - 6 years to make a game is a bit ridiculous. I would lose all sense of patience if I waited several years for one single game, as I'm sure FG would too.

Well, you can see how Duke Nukem turned out. There is always another side of the coin.
