				I know this is late but.. I don't know about anyone else but for me it works by just talking. You know, like you would talk to anyone else, if they ask a question, answer. If you want to know more, ask more. Just... Talk. You know, like you do normally. It's humble, it shows that you are comfortable with yourself more than anything. 
 
I've never felt the need to paste a face on myself to try to sell myself. I've tried it of course but I've always felt uncomfy doing it and it shows. I got the tip from an acquaintance of mine and it didn't work out. So I just decided to "feel the flow" and just.. Be myself. It might sound cheesy but it's just that simple. 
 
Also, think about it this way: You're just a person, just as much as he or she is a person. No need to complicate things with authority and stuff like that, most bosses are actually very down-to-earth past their obligatory "boss mode", which is a leadership trait, not a personality trait. 
 
So far, I've only had positive outcomes from those interviews.

I was applying for a quality assurance position. They asked me what I liked about games. I accidentally replied with "games that have a good story," as that  is what I particularly value. They promptly told me that all the games they're working on are social / casual games which have no story at all.

				Nah, I disagree. I've learned that the only way to really impress an interviewer is to tell them exactly why you have all the qualifications for the job. In this case, because I was applying for quality assurance, my employer couldn't care less for my ideas on what makes a game good. He only cared if I knew how to properly test a game so that everything works. A better answer would be: "I really value functionality in games, making sure that it has no bugs or glitches." 
 
Even for a dev position, unless I was applying for storyboard writer or creative producer, the employers wouldn't care much for my ideas.
