RE: Screenshot criticism thread

I like it a lot ! Looks very nice overall, especially in the dark where the blue lights look very cool ! I like the new walls/windows/everything, gives Amnesia a completely new feeling/environment and that's what a CS should try to do imho.

Good job with that, the only small issue that I see is how the platforms disappear when you don't look at them, but I'm guessing you already noticed it ^^.

Edit : If you are going for gameplay, I think it'd be a bit more interesting to have bigger platforms, and less of them, so that the jumping feels a bit more interesting ^^. If you are doing so maybe a bit of light on the platform (like a blue border) could look good especially, once again, in the dark.
That's just a suggestion though, it's already awesome *-*

Yeah frustrating issue with the disappearing of them. I'll have to look into that today. Will experiment with size and placement to make the jumping more exciting :]

Edit: Appears as if the mesh hides itself as soon as the bone isn't on screen. :/ will make a helpthread.

i would have to say the bilboards should all be facing one way and parallel to the shadow on the floor seeing as where the lightsource is, thats maybe the only thing i would fix unless there is more than one source of light, but it looks as if the sun is the only source of light.

the first two on the second set, i would try expirimenting with how bright the yellow lights are, they seem a little dim IMO, the last one, im not all too sure it looks nice thats for sure, but wheres the light source coming from ?

RE: Screenshot criticism thread

I think the lighting issues lothabread mentioned are real (at least for the yellow lights, i'm assuming there's light from under the "catwalk" in the blue/gray area), but otherwise it really feels good to see someone make a new and original environment with the AMFP assets.

Good job on that : > !!

RE: Screenshot criticism thread

Much better with the yellow lights, really good job !

The next room looks a bit empty so far because the walls don't have anything on them I think : >.

Adding static decals/lamps/cables/whatever on the walls would very quickly make the room look better and more interesting, imho.
