Didn't go quite as predicted:

The Boston Globe of 1900 imagines the Year 2000

Shame, still no flying cars in public, we're late in development.

I know this is from amnesia, but iu uninstalled penumbra: necrologue(Because it could not load a file and can't get help from it but whatever). So i placed the backup back and when i opened amnesia, there is no ''custom stories'' section.

Help will be better.

I predict no flying cars by the 2100 mark. Well, actually that would be stupid. No, I say no mainstream flying cars.

Actually, when I think about it, why would it be flying cars? If anything, it would be its own invention. Planes are called planes, cars are called cars. They're both automatically moving boxes. If such a flying device is invented, it would probably be named something entirely different.

We already have hovercrafts. I don't see why we wouldn't have an actual moving box that goes on air/vent friction by the year 2100, but I don't see it being developed enough to be put into common use.

However, automatically stearing cars? That's something I can get behind. El-cars in fact.

But they would be cool: you could easily fly from place A to place B without breaking a sweat.
The cars today are boring.

Make complete reinstall via steam. That is often the way to go, when it comes to things like these.

Why would we even need cars when we can just lie on our cyber-couches in our ultra-houses with luscious cyborg-babes and have everything served to us?

I'm more disapointed with Orwell, he was wrong and he predicted just 36 years into the future. Damn it! Where's my synthetic gin and telescreens!?

His vision was indeed extreme, but at 1984 the Soviet Union is still a thing.

And North Korea exists.

RE: Blandom Snuff

Two horses have died at the end of a long distance horse race today.

Is it somewhat of an overreaction for people to be like:
"I'm never gonna place a bet on the Melbourne Cup again!"
"Horse racing should be banned."
"We should not have horses race in a long distance race".

From a personal perspective, at the moment, I believe it is an overreaction. A large number of horses die from horse racing per year, most of them from Jumps Racing, injury or Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Haemorrhage (blood in the respiratory system). One of them had an injury, shattered leg bone (when a horse breaks their bone, it 'explodes' into many pieces, becoming both expensive and extremely unlikely of recovery) and the other suffered a heart attack in the stalls after the race. The fact that the Melbourne Cup is 'the race that stops the nation', would there be a similar impact should it have happened at a 'standard' horse race?

I can understand a large number of people would want to throw their two cents into a discussion on social media, but I have seen my opinions to become somewhat inferior, as would any moral discussion. Anybody here want to contribute their opinion?

Don't think I am heartless.

Edit: Injured horse has actually been euthanized.

Countless horses die every year. We should ban horses.
