I have the Steam version of the game, a GTX 570 graphics card, and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well as verifying the game's integrity through steam.

We will fix the devil in a patch soon, but it should not be the cause of the crash. To be sure you can download the files from here http://downloads.sourceforge.net/openil/...-1.7.8.zip and unpack the three dll files to the amnesia directory (next to the exe, if done correctly it will ask you to overwrite the old version).

Another user who tried replacing the dll's received the same error afterwards at the log. Maybe he did something wrong by not replacing the files, I haven't personally tested it to be sure as I don't have the game installed. But yes, since the update there have been a lot more support requests so something must not be working properly.

I'd like to state that replacing the DevIL dlls works as expected with no log error afterwards. The user that I initially asked to try that obviously did it wrong. And indeed DevIL dlls are not the cause of the recent game crash. Just to cover all bases and not confuse new people. Wink

Not to confuse new people, but I never received devil errors afterwards, and i'm sure I made it apparent in my post. The only problem I was having was missing models, which I hope is fixed in the next update.
