When it's interracted with, it opens up and the white light/energy eminates. Simon goes to touch it and the screen sorta flashes.

I'll admit I could be totally wrong, but that's what it looked like to me.

Ohh do you mean the thing that looks like an anu... oh I get it.

Yeah he is get damage I think.

BTW found another gameplay of the demo:

https://youtu.be/OnTc7qcDuGE
At the very end of the video, it seems you can "die" infinity times and yet you wake up on the same place with the same monster hanging around. now that's AWESOME
Doesn't it mean you don't actually die? Maybe you have system restart or something like that, assuming you are a robot.

By the way, the monster looks like a robotic dinosaur thingy

Yeah, So basically it's a robot that has been covered in so much of the gel, that it perhaps went nuts and is acting out?

You can see that with all the robots; They have bits of the stuff all over them.

Maybe that's what happens when the stuff accumulates on a robot over time? Or, the gel uses robots as physical methods of carrying it's consciousness?

"The body cannot exist without the mind".

Though I think a "consciousness" can be existed without a physical body (aka "soul"[?]), but you can't see a consciousness just like that in physical life, right?

Of course you die. That's the reason, the monster is there. If not there wouldnt be a reason to run away from them and no chases too. You could basically just walk around without minding it.
Im gonna assume, that they deactivated death for the E3 for some reason. Or its some kind of thing where you wake up a specific amount of time before actually die.
But i dont think you can't die.

The question that will never be answered:
SOMA WHY ARE YOU SO BEAUTIFUL? ;_;

				Jesus Christ.
Just saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnTc7qcDuGE
Seriously, what's up with FOV in SOMA? Is it 60 or even 55? I'm literally having a headache and my neck hurts just after few minutes of watching. What is the reason behind such cruelty towards a player? At attempt to hide some graphical issues or just jumping into the "le 30fps cinematic effect with claustrophobic fov" bandwagon?

Truly, people who came up with idea of FoV less than 75-85 should try to live with FoV 50 IRL for few years.

Absolutely disgusting.

Well I'm sure that they can include some sort of FOV slider. It looks fine to me but I'm a commercialist sheep, aren't I?
