Hi,

First of all, please attach the hpl.log found in My Documents/My Games/SOMA/Main. That way it is easier for us to look into what the issue might be.

Hi Thomas, thanks very much for the reply. I have attached my hpl file to this message and really do hope that this problem will be solved. I'm around 5-6 hours into the game but the framerate issue is becoming an even greater problem with my FPS sometimes dropping to around 5-10 FPS now :/ I am loving the story so far and would be enjoying it sooo much more if I could play with a smooth framerate Smile Just in case you need to know, here are my PC specs --> i5 4690k @3.9GHz, 8GB HyperX 1600MHz ram, XFX Radeon HD 6850 1GB. Thanks a lot for any help with this problem as I would love to have a good first experience with your masterpiece of a game Smile

The log does not seem to be attached.

Try pastebin or similar if the attach fails for some reason.

Oops, didn't notice that it had failed to attach it. Here is the Pastebin link as you suggested Smile http://pastebin.com/sgpGXSCS

Try making a clean driver install. Uninstall current, reboot and then install new ones.

Tried the gog patch and the horrid frame rate remains. Dunno what more to say. Early adopters are always the biggest fans but seem to suffer most. I'm sure frictional are doing their best, perhaps games are now too complicated and everyone having slightly different setups, gpus, drivers is too much for fully functional games to exist. I'll just wait a month now, hopefully it's sorted then.

Did you try to do a clean driver install?

I tried gog patch 2.0.1.2, no changes. Still fps drops.

Turning off V-Sync caused a performance boost of 10 FPS for me.
3840 x 2160 & V-Sync adaptive: 30 FPS
3840 x 2160 & V-Sync off: 40 FPS
