Crash Upon Launching

After clean reinstall of the game, something totally unexpected happens:
The game does not launch. Acctually, the whole game launcher is messed up.

I wonder what's wrong?
Now, I did not test the game immediately after I got it reinstalled, but went and added the v1.3 editor tools, and removed the HPL2 from my documents, because thumbnails did not show up in level editor. But I doubt that affects the whole game or does it?

I experience this issue when the launcher is started without a functioning config file. Is this on Steam? Do you have a launch flag on the options for a non-existant config?

Even if I didn't, the whole Amnesia.exe does not launch. I don't believe the crash is launcher related issue, or is it?

EDIT: I got it fixed. There was an non-existent .lang file put as a default in main_settings.cfg. Setting it to existing one solved the issue. Even the launcher works now as it should.
