Not sure what to think, I like the focus on more open ended areas, or at least that's how it seems like. But at the same time I feel the whole "being absolutely defenseless and having to run constantly" horror gameplay trope is starting to get old.
Never was a big fan of the original Outlast, but can't help but feel this setting is just perfect for the sequel, really nails down the mood that the old game portrayed. They got pretty creative with the hiding spots too, glad to see the ancient locker being abolished.
