Hi I'm having a little bit of a problem with this patch.
I have the game installed on my D drive and when I install the patch it always wants to make an extra folder "Amnesia-The Dark Decent".
So I put in the correct pathway and it will say "This folder already exists. Would you like to install here anyways?" (or something like that.)
So I hit yes and the patch installs but when I go to play it still has the exact same problem I had before.
Can't open the journal or inventory.
I'm guessing the patch didn't apply properly.
I uninstalled then installed again and let the patch make the folder "Amnesia-The Dark Decent" and still the exact same problem.
The I installed it to my C drive, patched it and still the same problem.
Why is this patch not installing properly?
And I have to say I'm not ignorant to this stuff been patching games for years without any problem like this before.
Really wanting to play this game.

Ok I figured it out. For some reason I had to copy and paste the patch files into the main directory. Now it's working just fine.

From where did you get the original installer? So I can look into if some of the stores have another installer, as it sounds strange and it should know where to patch regardless of the path you originally used.

The ONLY problem I have had is that when I accidentally hit the system key (while hurriedly trying to crouch and miss Ctrl) I end up on the desktop with no mouse and have to fart around with the tab and arrow keys to get the game to full screen again.
Will the patch fix that?

Are they other things in the patch that are not in the game itself or is this just a technical patch?

Reinstal video drivers and directX, but nothing help
