1.0.1 Patch available

Any good reason the Steam release doesn't get this along with the others? Is the game version different? It better not lead to mod incompatibilities or anything similar down the line as it can happen with certain other games that get a different version on some DD services (but not Steam usually)...

Hello, retail 1.0.1 patch is now out for steam for over 2 days (since sept 22). However, steam version of the game still does not have update available on steam. Unfortunately, retail patch cannot be applied to steam version of the game. Is there a specific date for the patch to be released on steam? Further, is there a reason why steam version customers are left behind? Thanks for your time

I thought steam might update Amnesia today, so that we can play Amnesia on the weekend, but still no sign!
Therefore I wrote to the Steam-Support just to show them the importance of this update.
I'll tell you, if they answered (or maybe till then the patch is available, who knows...)
But I'm really angry, that FrictionalGames made a Patch as fast as they could and the STEAM-guys are not able to upload ~50MB to their servers...

I think it's not that easy, I mean it's not just putting up some files to Steam server.
Mac and Linux versions of patch are still not released. Which means they still need some work to do. And people who forgot that, Steam version also includes Mac version, too. I don't even mention about Steamworks compatibility...

Amnesia does not use steamworks. It only uses steam drm(obviously). The thing is nowdays digital sales over platform like steam are just as important as retail boxed sales. But I wonder whether valve is at fault with the delay.

Как временное(!) решение можно использовать и этот патч. Т.к. структура папок в английской версии немного другая, то после установки патча, переносим все файлы и папки из папки redist в корень.
В иностранной версии SF нет, поэтому vvоdим пaroль дlя аktivacии - 4eтbIrнадцaть eдiнiс, ну вы поняли!? (:

Valve still needs to give the patch their Q&A OK before they push the update.

So for me it sounds like they didn't get the Patch from FG.
Maybe they should send it again.
