Solved: 8 Years, 9 Months ago Game crash when saw is used on Agrippa

Hey Forum-ers,

So my problem is simple: when I try to use the bone saw to remove Agrippa's head, my game crashes and this little window (called the "BlackBox") pops up. It says "!!GAME CRASHED!! Something is wrooooong!" I have no idea what the problem is. Amnesia has never crashed on me before, but it always crashes here. Help!
I am running Windows Vista as an administrator, by the way. 32-bit.

If you load an earlier save, will it happen again?

Did you update the game to the latest version while in the middle of a game? As Tashaydar said you need to load a previous save before entering the Agrippa area.

I don't think so, I start from where Daniel gets up near the well (after that trippy note flashback thing), make the serum for Agrippa, give it to him, and when I try to use the saw it crashes. I might try saving and quitting right before I do to see if it works.
I just tried that and it still crashes. If there's a way to preserve my saves, I could try re-downloading the game from Steam and see if there was an issue with the files.

You should load a save before all these. Before entering the problematic map actually. I think before this is the brute in the sewers?

Correct, before entering the Nave (room with Agrippa) you're imprisoned in a cell, break out, then run for dear life from some sort of monster, I never looked behind me so I don't know what kind. I'll try doing that over again, hopefully that should fix whatever is the problem with the map.
Nevermind, I actually tried verifying the game cache's integrity and trying again and it worked. And I must say, you guys are awesome for making such an amazing game but despicable for such a cliffhanger ending when you save Agrippa.
