Is it wrong that I have an erection right now? Angel

Are the more disturbing images you speak of "third-party" works from artists like Lila Wilde, or are they created in-house, or are they actual images of murder and torture from the internet? I remember someone mentioning that Dan was consulting beheading videos as inspiration for terror but I don't know if that was just someone being funny haha. I can recommend a few videos if he needs them Tongue

Cheers Sam!
I obviously can't say too much so you'll have to wait and see!

I think violent acts like beheading are good for an instantaneous shock, but I personally love the horrible, under your skin, psychologically insane events that stay with you long after the initial shock - truly disturbing horror.

Ahhh don't worry about that, just PM the details to me and I'll keep 'em hush-hush Big Grin You can trust me, I buy Fair Trade oranges (when they're cheaper than regular oranges).

Is there any kind of schedule by which decisions are made about when things will be revealed or do you just do it when you think you have enough material? I know the ARG was an off-the-cuff idea that snowballed into a fully-fledged event; was the teaser trailer a similar process or was it planned with a specific release date etc.?

Cheers Sam.

I honestly don't remember except that it was either on a game forum or in the comments section of an article, but it was the only time I heard anyone mention it and I have no idea if the person in question was in a position to know. It'd be fascinating if it were true!

For the trailer I know that the idea was that they would release a trailer if the sales reached a certain point, but that before they had the whole thing in place their goal had long since passed. I think Thomas grip said something like that.. somewhere..

And alright, thanks for answering

Edit: I meant the sales from the Indie bundle sorry for confusion.

Great interview, as always. To be honest I had only "glanced" at Everybody's Gone to the Rapture up until recently, having spent all my time staring at Amnesia concept art haha, but my interest for Everybody's Gone... grows exponentially the more I hear about it.

This is turning out to be the most exciting year of gaming I can remember:

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Frictional Games' new project
The third remake of Dear Esther featuring destructible environments, bullet-time and a new voice over by Billy West

Oh boy oh boy! Big GrinBig Grin

DP: The central thing about Amnesia: The Dark Descent is that the player's experience is at the core. It takes precedence of mechanics, over more formal gameplay features as such. So we're preserving that emotional journey — that rollercoaster of fear, awe, desperation, loneliness, sadness, disgust, and terror. There are some changes of course, to keep things fresh, but it will very much feel like an Amnesia game. But what we're hoping for is a very different experience at the same time. I'm not going to say anymore about that yet, though ...

Your jimmies may rest at peace - the game will be pretty much like Amnesia. Isn't it what most of the "fan" wanted? Are you happy now?
