Alright, so from the beginning, this is a clean copy of Amnesia installed through Steam? Did you run the game after installing it to make sure it ran okay? Did you extract the files successfully and overwrite the necessary ones? Well, you said the editors worked fine. It's strange, cause I've had no issues with installing it. I can only assume something was done differently or caused by a hardware/software difference, though I don't see why.
