I have noticed this happening at times, but not recently while storing them in either my CS folder or the default static_objects inside /custom. It did happen in a mod of mine though. I guess it will be easiest to just keep them in the default location until you export your mod. I'm still not sure what causes this problem. I wonder if it has something to do with it being hard coded in the engine.
