Have a look also at the input settings in the main menu. There should be an option to set them to default, in case the config file has not been generated on your system. I recommend doing this as an Administrator or with elevated permissions in case SOMA cannot read or write to that directory.

How are you controlling the game; just a mouse and keyboard attached via USB? What operating system are you using? Can you provide a hpl.log file (Problem X)?
