Amnesia crashes when save & exit

Looks like a lot of things are missing from the map. If all the files were validated, that sounds like an odd thing unless you've modified anything.

I haven't modified anything, I also don't have any custom stories.
I remember this happened when I saved and exited the game after witnessing the scream of the bull in the room where you find an orb piece. Before that, I chose the save & exit option quite frequently and then choose to continue the game immediately thereafter just for the sake of saving the game. Maybe something got stacked which provoked the crash?

Doesn't the crash report give any hint where the cause may lie?
