Have you recently changed anything else on your system? like video card drivers? (I noticed you were running a rather old (173) version of the nvidia drivers where as the current is v 260.19.12))

Can you check the file permissions of the ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia folder and files with it.

ls -lR ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/

If files are not all owned by you change the owner.

Then try completely removing the ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/ folder.
