Crawling Monster?

Hey For my custom story My friend and I are trying to make he really wants a crawling Monster (More Humanoid) that crawls on his legs and arms.

I'm just wondering if theres one already made and if there isn't if someone would be Nice enough to try and make one.

If no one can could someone possibly tell me how I could TRY and figure out how to make that monster my self?

Also could you basically take a monster thing (IE the crawling monster my friend wants) from another game and just port it over to amnesia with some minor tweaks?

This Is a Picture from the Game S.T.A.L.K.E.R and this is bassically what I want.

Hmm, dont know of any finished monsters but you can use Maya for making ´em Tongue

Lmao. Right after I wrote that I looked it up on google and it's 3000 Dollars... Well F*** that Guess that crawling monster's not coming from me.

Any other thing that could do what I want thats not so hefty on the price?

This depends on how much you want it. Enemy AI is generally closed source, and I'm not sure what information you can customize would get you precisely. Not to mention the task of making such a model, which would be quite the learning process. I had a class in school for modeling, and I'm still not sure after the whole thing. Also, you can not make them crawl on walls and ceilings. Might not be worth all the effort.

Alrighty. I'll basically take that I can't do it without a long time of learning. This was anyways just what my friend wanted and I was on board with it.

You can try Bender, its free and its a nice 3d program. Takes awhile to learn though, plently of free tutorials with it. Smile

no duh

modeling isnt like making things in like couple of minutes. it takes skills to make models, especially monster Sleepy

Lol, Well I'm a fast learning but I looked at maya and was utterly confused within the first few seconds (video)

For Example I Made a Source Mod, Within 2 Days Of Playing Around with the SDK,
Unreal Engine 3 I made a Few Maps Within Hours of getting it.
I Have a Knack for design I believe. (so many Ideas haha)

But Maya.... Holy S*** that looks difficult haha

And oh yea I'll Check out blender. One Question. If Say I could actualy do this crawling Monster In Maya, Would there be any diffrences in it if I did it in blender? (Just wondering why Blender is Free and Maya is like 3 Grand)
