Vaguely telling a player what to do near the start can be helpful.
Excess tinderboxes should be fine as long as they aren't literally piled.

I'll do my best to create fear without jump scares, using believable environment, sounds and ofc dangerous situations.
Of course there are dark rooms.
What i was trying to say, in some storys there is absolutely no light at all.
I add just a little bit light so it's not impossible to continue if your lantern runs out of oil
