demo crash on startup

Your graphics card is not within the requierments to run the game, that is why it crashes.

You can play barely play the game but you need to update your graphics card drivers. What operating system do you have and also 32-bit or 64-bit? What laptop model exactly do you own?

i own a 64 bit windows 7 acer aspire 7741z....i dont know how and where to go to update the drivers

It seems that you have both AMD dedicated and Intel embedded graphics card which cause problems with OpenGL games/applications.

1) Make sure you have the latest bios installed(Acer Aspire 7741Z): http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...er&SC=PA_6

2)

A) If your laptop has an Radeon HD 6370M / 6550M dedicated graphics card, install this: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...er&SC=PA_6

B) If it has an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5450 / 5650 dedicated graphics card, install this: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...er&SC=PA_6

3) Update your Intel embedded graphics card to the latest version: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...er&SC=PA_6

After doing these restart the computer and try to run the game. If it still doesn't run we will use the have disk method which will most probably work.
